Marzie’s initial challenge with PTE Academic was that it is a computer-based exam. She had to complete the exam entirely on a computer. When she first started practicing, she faced a lot of difficulties. She typed very slowly. Since the PTE exam is computerized and has a fixed time limit, Marzie had to quickly improve her typing skills to effectively manage her time. Once again, her English proficiency was not very strong, causing difficulties in almost every aspect. Particularly in the areas of speaking and listening. She struggled greatly with listening. A substantial part of the score in PTE is based on speaking and listening skills. The speaking section comes first, while the listening section is the last part of the PTE. As a result, she had to take great care regarding the timing.
The areas where she faced the most difficulty were Read Aloud, Repeat Sentence, Summarize Written Text, Summarize Spoken Text, and Write from Dictation. These are the top scorers in the PTE exam.
She made a habit of practicing every day whenever she had free time and attempted to correct herself in order to improve her score. She practiced for a few days, but eventually realized she couldn’t fix it on her own. As a result, she scheduled an appointment with the trainer to figure out the issue.

Our trainer was already aware of some of Marzie’s weaknesses. Second, the trainer advised her to prioritize the items that have a high-scoring impact on PTE. Some items yield lower scores but require more time to complete. The trainer assisted Marzie in improving her speaking skills through the Read Aloud exercise, note-taking for the Repeat Sentence task, and writing from dictation. The trainer asked Marzie to speak with no pauses and with fluency when reading aloud.
